Aftenen stod på seks priser til Taylor Swift og buh-råb til Chris Brown
Taylor Swift vandt alle seks kategorier, hun var nomineret i til årets AMAs. Hun kan nu kalde sig American Music Awards’ bedste kvindelige popartist, bedste kvindelige countryartist med årets country- og popalbum for Red (Taylor’s Version).
De andre vindere tæller blandt andre Harry Styles, Beyoncé og Chris Brown, som salen buhede, da Kelly Rowland fra Destiny’s Child tog mod prisen i hans fravær og bad publikum om at ”slappe af.”
Chris Brown modtog prisen for AMAs bedste mandlige r&b-artist med en karriere, der spænder fra 2005 og inkluderer det nye album Breezy. Han fortæller selv, at han skulle have optrådt til årets prisceremoni med en hyldest til Michael Jackson, men at den blev aflyst i sidste øjeblik.

Han har blandt andet delt et klip fra optrædenen med ordene ”Er du seriøs?” via Instagram og en kommentar til videoen.
”Det skulle have været AMA-optrædenen, men de aflyste den af ukendte grunde,” skriver Chris Brown.
