Grammy 2016: Vinderne

Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar og Alabama Shakes var blandt sejrherrerne i Los Angeles

Musikbranchens mest prestigefyldte show løb af stabelen i nat dansk tid i Staples Center, Los Angeles. 

Det var den 58. gang, Grammyerne blev uddelt, og i løbet af natten og morgentimene blev der overrakt priser i 83 forskellige kategorier. I tilgift stod nogle af verdens største stjerner på scenen, blandt andet sang Lady Gaga en stort anlagt hyldest til David Bowie. Se hendes imponerende performance her.

Aftenens største vinder var Kendrick Lamar, da han fik i alt fem priser, i kategoriene Best Rap Album (To Pimp A Butterfly), Best Rap Song (Alright), Best Rap Performance (Alright), Best Rap/Sung Collaboration (These Walls) og Best Music Video (for samarbejdet med Taylor Swift i videoen til sangen Bad Blood).

Allerede tidligt på natten stod det dog klart, at Taylor Swift (billedet) var løbet med den prestigefulde pris for årets bedste album – til trods for, at Kendrick Lamar var en klar forhåndsfavorit til netop denne pris, også blandt GAFFAs læsere (som juryen i øvrigt var uenig med i alle de tre kategorier, vi satte til afstemning). 


Meghan Trainor løb med prisen i kategorien for årets nykommer foran blandt andre James Bay og Courtney Barnett, mens Alabama Shakes vandt hele tre priser i løbet af uddelingen, Best Rock Performance og Best Rock Song for sangen Don't Wanna Fight – samt Best Alternative Album foran forhåndsfavoritter som Tame Impala, Björk og Wilco.

The competition in the category included August Burns Red's "Identity," Lamb of God's "512," Sevendust's "Thank You" and Slipknot's "Custer."
