GAFFA.dk – alt om musik
MTV Video Music Awards fandt sted i går, den 30. august, på trods af pandemien. Et udendørs show blev ført til dørs med nogle af de største navne i musik.
Lady Gaga og Ariana Grande var de to navne, der havde flest nomineringer op til begivenheden. Gaga var på scenen flere gange og vandt den første pris, der blev givet for bedste kollaboration – sammen med ”konkurrenten” i nomineringer, Ariana Grande – for hitsinglen ”Rain On Me”. Gaga modtog desuden både priserne for Årets Kunstner og Årets Sang.
Et andet navn, der vandt flere end én VMA-pris, var K-pop-supergruppen BTS, der vandt både Bedste Popsang, Bedste K-Popsang, Bedste Gruppe og Bedste Koreografi.
Machine Gun Kelly vandt Bedste Alternative-sang for singlen ”Bloody Valentine”, der har en feature med hans kæreste, Megan Fox. Doja Cat vandt prisen for Bedste Nye Kunstner, og Taylor Swift vandt Bedste Instruktion og sendte en takkevideo fra sit hjem.
Den største af VMA-priserne, nemlig Årets Video, gik dog til The Weeknd for hittet ”Blinding Lights”. Han åbnede showet med en optræden af netop denne sang.
